SeaDream Yacht Club

SeaDream Yacht Club is a family owned company. Established in 2001, SeaDream Yacht Club has achieved the industry’s highest accolades for its two innovative cruising mega yachts. “It’s Yachting, Not Cruising”, defines SeaDream’s mission: to provide a casual yachting experience that will exceed our guests’ expectations. This is our pleasure. The SeaDream team both shore side and aboard twin mega yachts SeaDream I and SeaDream II enjoy knowing they are providing unprecedented levels of luxury and service. SeaDream’s guests appreciate that whatever they choose to do (or not to do, for that matter) during their yachting holiday, they will be experiencing one of the best vacation experiences at sea. When designing SeaDream Yacht Club, Mr. Brynestad (SeaDream’s Founder, Owner, Chairman & CEO) knew it would be the attention to detail and all important impeccable service that would define yachting in the true sense of the word. All of our guest rooms have an ocean view and the SeaDream experience is inclusive. Whether dining al fresco or in the salon, relaxing by the pool or enjoying a Spa treatment, playing a round of golf in the 30 course Golf Simulator or taking a mountain bike shore side and exploring the port of call, our guests know that they are experiencing the most personalized and pampered holiday at sea. SeaDream’s itineraries are designed to call upon the most intimate ports, harbours and yachting playgrounds that larger ships cannot reach. From May through October, both yachts sail the Mediterranean Sea. From November through April we visit the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. To ensure that our guests experience all that each specially selected port of call has to offer, many of our itineraries feature overnight stays in some of the best yachting ports and harbours in the world. We happily welcome you aboard, and look forward to welcoming you back again and again.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

The capital and largest city in the U.S. Virgin Islands. It has two ports of call for cruise vessels, Havensight and Crown Bay. SeaDream yachts are almost always docked at Crown Bay which is very close to the airport. The island has tons of history, beautiful beaches, a fantastic golf course and incredible shopping options.

Day 2

Cruz Bay, St. John

Two-thirds of St. John Island has been dedicated as a national park and is the most virgin of the U.S. Virgin Islands. It is blessed with many beautiful beaches and bays, fine anchorages and verdant hills. Enjoy the day with snorkelling trip to Trunk Bay with its underwater guided trail, or join our kayaking land adventure. Ask your Club Director for a guided hike to Caneel Bay stopping at beautiful Honeymoon Beach for a quite swim. Rental Cars are available should you want to explore on your own or you could borrow a SeaDream Mountain Bike for independent exploration.

Its area is about 600 acres (2.4 km²), and it is about 2.5 miles (4 km) long. A large harbor is known as "The Bight" offers one of the most protected anchorages in the area. Arrive at night at White Bay, Jost van Dyke.

Day 5

White Bay, Jost van Dyke

The BVI’s barefoot island and home of the "Painkiller" drink. Population depends on the month – typically 250-300. This is another SeaDream destination where you may be served Champagne and Caviar in the surf followed by a beach barbecue lunch. A hike is always offered to guests to visit the famous Foxy’s Bar at Great Harbour (hopefully, the boutique is open) or you can stroll a few meters down the beach to the Soggy Dollar Bar. Snorkelling equipment is provided as well as some of our water toys!

Day 1

San Juan

San Juan, founded in the 1520’s by Spanish settlers, is both the largest city and the capital city of Puerto Rico. A territory of the Unites States, Puerto Rico is comprised of the large main island as well as five smaller islands, including the popular islands of Vieques and Culebra (both ports of call on select SeaDream voyages). SeaDream docks in Old San Juan, the oldest part of the city. Parts of this historic port city are still surrounded by stone walls dating back to the 1500’s. Narrow cobblestone streets, small shops, and points of interest like Cathedral of San Juan Bautista make this charming city a great place to stroll. Guests sailing into or departing from San Juan will enjoy views of Castillo de San Felipe del Morro, a mid- 1700’s Spanish fortress. San Juan Luiz Munoz Marin Airport is approximately a 30-minute drive to the port in Old San Juan. Currency in Puerto Rico is USD.

Day 2

Two-thirds of St. John Island has been dedicated as a national park and is the most virgin of the U.S. Virgin Islands. It is blessed with many beautiful beaches and bays, fine anchorages and verdant hills. Enjoy the day with snorkelling trip to Trunk Bay with its underwater guided trail, or join our kayaking land adventure. Ask your Club Director for a guided hike to Caneel Bay stopping at beautiful Honeymoon Beach for a quite swim. Day 4

Marigot & Gustavia

Marigot is the main town and capital on the French side of Saint Martin. The city of Marigot is perhaps the most French in spirit of all the cities in the Caribbean. Colonial houses stand beside cafés and bistros, pastry shops and luxury boutiques, and in many ways, it looks just like any of the French market towns you might expect to find in Europe. At the southern end of town by the harbour is Marina Port la Royale. This area includes elegant stores with the latest in European designer fashion and fine jewellery, all duty and tax-free. The entire city is only four streets wide, so it is very easy to get around. Marigot was named the capital during the reign of King Louis XVI, who built Fort St. Louis on a hill near Marigot Bay. Today, that building is the most important in the city. SeaDream anchors off Marigot and offers several yachting land adventures as well as the possibility to play with the toys at the marina.
Arrive in the evening at Gustavia.

Day 5

Gustavia

Perhaps our most treasured destination in the Caribbean! This small island belonging to the French West Indies has so much to offer our SeaDream guests. Incredible shopping only steps away from the pier. Incredible beaches, resorts, restaurants and activities both day and night. SeaDream has created various land adventures for you to discover the island from sea or land. Ask one of the officers to take you on a hike or bike ride around the island. Another great activity here is to simply relax and watch all of the incredible yachts arriving and departing just off your SeaDream yacht.

Day 6

Soper's Hole, Tortola & Norman Island

This marina on Tortola's West End retained its quaint charm while being a center of activity and voted the best marina in the BVIs. Soper's Hole imparts a great sense of place and physical intimacy and is considered one of the most picturesque marinas in the Caribbean. SeaDream is offering several land adventures including, snorkelling, scuba diving, land rover safari and swimming with the dolphins. For guests wanting some extra activity, ask the Captain or Club Director to set up a bike ride to Road Town along the coastal road. For guests wanting to simply shop or explore the marina, we suggest checking out Pusser’s Landing along with the cute boutiques.
Arrive in the afternoon at Norman Island.
Norman Island is located at the southern tip of the British Virgin Islands. It could very well be the very same island reputed to be the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's pirate novel Treasure Island. It is said that the island was named after a pirate who purchased it at some point during the early 18th century. The island is uninhabited and privately owned by Dr Henry Jarecki. Its area is about 600 acres (2.4 km²), and it is about 2.5 miles (4 km) long. A large harbor is known as "The Bight" offers one of the most protected anchorages in the area. Guests will enjoy some great hiking opportunities as well as snorkeling and scuba diving. Another attractive option may be to check out the Willie T that is generally anchored in the harbor or simply have a beverage at the Pirates Bight Bar.
Arrive in the evening at White Bay, Jost van Dyke.

Day 7

White Bay, Jost van Dyke

The BVI’s barefoot island and home of the "Painkiller" drink. Population depends on the month – typically 250-300. This is another SeaDream destination where you may be served Champagne and Caviar in the surf followed by a beach barbecue lunch. A hike is always offered to guests to visit the famous Foxy’s Bar at Great Harbour (hopefully, the boutique is open) or you can stroll a few meters down the beach to the Soggy Dollar Bar.

Day 2

White Bay, Jost van Dyke

The BVI’s barefoot island and home of the "Painkiller" drink. Population depends on the month – typically 250-300. This is another SeaDream destination where you may be served Champagne and Caviar in the surf followed by a beach barbecue lunch. A hike is always offered to guests to visit the famous Foxy’s Bar at Great Harbour (hopefully, the boutique is open) or you can stroll a few meters down the beach to the Soggy Dollar Bar. Snorkelling equipment is provided as well as some of our water toys!

Day 2

Motril for Granada

The port of Motril is the closest port to the ancient Moorish city of Granada, less than one hours drive up into the Sierra Nevada mountains. In Granada, the Alhambra, a Moorish citadel and palace, is the most famous building of the Andalusian Islamic historical legacy. Granada was the last Moorish city to surrender to the Christians during the "Reconquista" in 1492. The town of Motril is about two miles inland from the port. The beach of Playa Granada is a short walk from the dock to the fishing port.

Day 3

Cartagena

Cartagena was founded in the 3rd century BC and has been a major naval station. It is located in the Region of Murcia, southeastern Spain. Thanks to its strategic position on the Mediterranean, Cartagena has been inhabited by many different cultures which have left their mark on its rich cultural heritage during a glorious and turbulent history. It’s a very pleasant and relaxing city to walk around. SeaDream makes it easy is the yacht docks in the center of town. Guests have an option of a walking discovery adventure as well as resort golf at La Manga. Some guests also enjoy independent usage of the mountain bikes.

Day 4

Ibiza, Balearic Islands

Ibiza town is the largest city on this 3rd largest Balearic Spanish Island. It lies 79 kilometers (49 miles) off the coast of Valencia, in eastern Spain. Ibiza has become famous for its incredible nightlife and the electronic music that originated on the island. This UNESCO awarded city has some great land adventure options including resort golf, wine tasting, exploring the Dalt Villa and mountain biking to name a few. We try to stay late in the evening so guests can also get a taste of the nightlife.

Day 5

Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands

Situated on the southern coast of Mallorca, the largest city in the Balearic Islands archipelago is Palma. Mallorca’s cultural and economic hub is the 12th largest urban area in all of Spain. Palma has an area of 21.4 square kilometers, housing half the population of Mallorca and despite being compared to Barcelona and Florence, it is twinned with Naples, Italy. In 1983, Palma officially became the capital of the Balearic Islands. Originally founded by General Quintus Caecilius Metellus as a Roman camp in 123 B.C.E., the island of Mallorca was a part of the Tarraconensis province of Spain. The Romans established two ports, Pollentia to the northeast and Palma in the south. Palma was utilized as a port for Africa, while Pollentia was used for Roman cities in the northwest Mediterranean. Prior to the Muslim conquest and downfall of the Western Roman Empire, existed a period where the Byzantine Empire was on Mallorca. Due to the lack of documentation, the nature of this presence is unknown, but for the 10th century to 1229 A.D., Palma was under Islamic control as “Medina Mayurqa”. When James I of Aragon captured Palma in 1229, it was given municipality as “Cuitat de Mallorca”, and maintained as the capital of the Kingdom of Majorca. Perpignan and Palma became a joint capital of the Kingdom once James I of Aragon passed away. From 1229 onward, the foundations of Mallorcan society began to flourish, although various war-like events would soon take place. In 1391 began an anti-Jewish movement that forced the Jewish people to flee, convert, or be killed – actions that would ultimately be reinforced in the Inquisition. While the Revolt of 1450 was occurring, it was farmers that were then harassed. A river that divided the city would eventually spur social and economic issues as an Upper and Lower town of the city would be established. Mallorca was on the decline by the 16th century, and became a haven for pirates by the 17th century. Finally, the War of the Spanish Succession ended and destroyed the Crown of Aragon in 1714 when Barcelona fell. The city would eventually begin to thrive again as Charles III of Spain allowed commercial activity to bounce back by removing interdiction of commerce with the Spanish colonies in America. Once Algeria became occupied by France, fear of Maghredi attacks were eliminated, allowing further economic expansion with new maritime routes surfacing. Since 1950, Mallorca has become a prime tourist destination, growing from 600,000 visitors in 1960 to 19.2 million visitors by 2001. Tourists can view the old city, Arab baths, Palma Cathedral, Bellver Castle, or simply indulge in the beautiful Playa de S’amarador. For a glorious, picturesque scene of mountains, be sure to visit the Serra de Tramuntana and explore the UNESCO location overlooking the sea.

Day 6

Mahón, Menorca, Balearic Islands

Mahón (also known as Maó) is the capital of the Balearic Islands of Menorca. The arrival by sea is really incredible as the Captain enters via a fjord-like inlet and then turns that yacht around and docks in the heart of the city. The capital has an interesting mix of old and new architectural styles. SeaDream has arranged four separate and unique yachting land adventures that include Golf, Kayaking, Mountain Biking and “Mahon Musts”.

Day 7

Tarragona

Tarragona is home to a large port and was founded before the 5th century BC.
This city is worth a visit for it's history and ancient remains. Go for a walk through the historic centre and try some typical tapas and local seafood, like the Catalan "pa amb tomàquet" or "neules i torrons".

Day 8

Barcelona

Disembarkation.
Barcelona, a Unesco Awarded City, is the second largest in Spain. It was the 12th-most-visited city in the world, and 4th most visited in Europe after London, Paris, and Rome. Especially remarkable is the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, which can be seen throughout the city. His best-known work is the immense but still unfinished church of the Sagrada Familia, which has been under construction since 1882 and is still financed by private donations. Completion is planned for 2026. SeaDream almost always docks downtown at the World Trade Center and is steps away from the famous boulevard of La Rambla. SeaDream has several land adventure options for you, view voyages for the various activities to participate in.

Day 3

Palamos

Welcome to Costa Brava. Palamos is home to one of the last fishing fleets of the Mediterranean, and the locally caught prawns have made this port famous. Enjoy strolling the charming seaside streets, enjoying a stop at one of the local bars, cafes, or restaurants.

Day 4

Collioure (Port Vendres)

Collioure is surely the most picturesque coastal resort on the Mediterranean coast of South-West France. With the backdrop of the Pyrenees mountains tumbling into the sea, the old harbour, the impressive castle, wonderful old churches, beach-side restaurants, narrow old streets, bijou boutiques, art trails and three beaches. We dock in the adjacent fishing harbour of Port Vendres, which also has nice restaurants and bars along the dockside. Collioure was first settled by the Phoenicians and Greeks as a trading port and, since then, has been occupied by Romans, Barbarians, Arabs, Spaniards (at least 4 times) and finally after the Treaty of the Pyrenees in 1659, the French. The Knights Templars, built Collioure's impressive castle (Chateau-Royal) in the 12th Century and this was later used as a residence for the Kings of Mallorca. Collioure still makes a healthy living from its salted anchovies that are exported all over France.

Day 5

Cassis

Cassis is a small port situated east of Marseille in the administrative department of the Bouches-du-Rhone in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur region in southern France. It is a very popular tourist destination and is famous for its steep cliffs (falaises) and the sheltered limestone inlets called calanques. The wines of Cassis are white and rose, and not to be confused with crème de cassis, a specialty of Burgundy which takes its name from blackcurrants (cassis), not the village here. SeaDream anchors in the bay and offer a land adventure to the impressive Aix en Provence. Other options are taking a local boat to the calanques, hiking along the coast, visiting some of the local vineyards, water sports, mountain biking or simply relaxing in a Balinese bed on the yacht.

Day 6

Saint-Tropez

Saint-Tropez located on the French Riviera quite simply may be the most famous resort town in Europe. It is a playground for the fashion models, athletes, movie stars, entertainers and other extremely wealthy summertime guests. There’s much to offer in this resort town, shopping, nightlife (Byblos hotel’s Les Caves du Roy nightclub) exceptional beach clubs such as Le Club 55 and Nikki Beach at Pampelonne. Nearby you can explore some of the hill towns and visit the award winning rose wineries. You can also visit neighbouring Grimaud and Port Grimaud or just a little further out golf at a few highly rated courses. SeaDream anchors just off the break wall and tenders directly to the pier downtown.

Day 7

Antibes

Historians indicate that Antibes was the first town founded by the Greeks on the Riviera coast. For a very long time, Antibes was the only town between Marseille and Italy. The temples, monuments and an immense 3500 seat amphitheater bear testimony to its ancient origins. Much of the protecting walls have remained intact including Fort Carre, which is one of the most beautiful examples of military architecture in Europe. Today the port is taken over by an incredible array of mega yachts. The historic town center is full of pretty squares and narrow streets, ideal for wandering and people-watching. Make sure you check out the cathedral and the old ramparts. Nearby Cap d'Antibes, there is a small peninsula of paradise, you can visit it by taking the sign-posted path following the coastline. The famous "Eden Roc" hotel is at the point of the "Cap". Ask on of the officers to lead a crew shoreside casual hike – you will not be disappointed. If that isn’t appealing, we are certain one of the organized land adventure will be.

Day 8

Nice

Disembarkation.
Nice is the fifth most populous city in France and the second largest on the Mediterranean coast. The city's famous seaside promenade, the Promenade des Anglais ('the Walkway of the English') owes its name to the earliest settlers to this seaside resort. For over a quarter century, the picturesque Nicean surroundings have attracted not only those in search of relaxation but also those seeking inspiration. SeaDream docks in the small port and offers several land adventure options as well as private arrangements and transfers.
