Sailing-Classics

For about 10 years, Sailing-Classics is a landmark in the field of sailing cruises. With three large sailing yachts, ranging from 38 to 54 metres, they make cruises on the Mediterranean, in the Caribbean and even transatlantic crossings! Their cruises are sporty and relaxed at the same time!

Sailing-Classics has three sailing yachts which are built in the style of Classic Yachts, all equipped with contemporary comfort. Have you ever wanted to sail on a big sailing yacht?

With Sailing-Classics you can realize this dream! On board, you will find a relaxed atmosphere with a hospitable and professional multilingual crew. During the cruises, you’ll experience pure sailing and a wonderful sense of freedom. The starting and ending points are always fixed, but not the route, which makes the sailing cruise even more adventurous. During the day you will be sailing a couple of hours, depending on the wind. Coming close to sunset the anchor is lowered in a bay. Perhaps you will experience a sailing night underneath a sparkling starry sky. Before breakfast you can swim directly from the board, just to start your day truly nautical… During the stopovers, you can choose from a range of watersports, go ashore or read your favorite book on deck, or just do some staring at the horizon. Here's what: nothing is required, it’s your call! If you’re eager to learn the tricks of true sailing, you’re welcome. Do you show more preference in sunbathing on the big teak deck, also fine! In between, enjoy the excellent cuisine with delicious wines. Your cabin is situated on the lower deck, fully designed with teak and mahogany wood.

Sailing-Classics is also operating with theme cruises, such as; watching whales and dolphins in the Strait of Gibraltar or sailing and visiting volcanoes along Sicily and the Lipari Islands. You can also visit the volcanic grounds of the Dodecanese Islands in Greece. What about a combination of sailing and history, for example following the tracks of Odysseus. To make it all more exciting you can even book for a sportive Regatta! With Sailing-Classics everybody enjoys adventure, fun, and relaxation.

Sailing Yacht Cruise Antigua - Barbuda - Antigua

Sailing Yacht Cruise from Antigua, around Barbuda and back to Antigua.
Note: the exact cruise plan of sailing yachts is never present, due to weather conditions.., that's sailing!

Overview

Antigua – Barbuda – Antigua

Combine the best of two worlds – an authentic sailing experience on large sailing yachts – without the pressure of fixed routings, and the comfort and service of a cruise.

We merge the best of the world of sailing with the world of traditional cruises. Authentic and individual sailing, just as if you had chartered your own yacht, is combined with the attentive and caring service of our professional crew and the comfort of a cruise ship.

Thereby, we do not follow a strict routing during the mostly one-week sailing cruises, but go by wind, weather and the desires of our guests. Hence, if the wind is good, we may sail even a little into the night, accompanied by a breathtaking view of the stars above…

And if the wind is calm, we just find the closest bay and enjoy a refreshing swim, go snorkelling or take a stroll on the beach.., pure seafaring, far from the mass tourism of large cruise liners.

Whenever possible, we actually set sails, but only for about 4-7 hours a day. In the remaining time there is plenty opportunity to take a swim right off board, to go on an individual excursion to the shore and get to know the country and its people, and much more…

Kairós

In Greek mythology, Kairós symbolizes the ‘perfect moment’ one has to seize right when it comes by.

That said: Welcome on Board!

The sketch of Kairós follows the drawings of classic sailing schooners in the 20’s of last century. Those were glorious times of legendary sailing vessels, when famous designers like William Fife from Scotland, Charles E. Nicholson from England or John Alden and Nathanael Herreshoff from the US created yachts of unequalled elegance and style.

Following these traditions Kairós was built with a hull of steel and all finishing’s in teak and mahogany. The designers choose to avoid larger superstructures on deck in order to create as much free space as possible.

Kairós is very fast and seaworthy. With the light and middle winds and even under engine, she already reaches a speed of 10 kn. Kairós can easily tack against the wind and even the sails don’t need to be reduced up to 6 Beaufort. Sailing with the Kairós is a true experience!

Kairós can accommodate a maximum of 20 guests in 6 cabins of est. 11m² with double beds (all with their own bathroom) and 3 cabins of  est. 8m² with bunk beds and one with a double bed (all with their own bathroom). A crew of at least 7 cares for the operation of the vessel and the well-being of the guests.

Corfu - Albania - Croatia / Trogir

Sailing yacht cruise (one-way) from Corfu along Albania and finishing in Trogir/ Croatia.
Note: the exact cruise plan of sailing yachts is never present, due to weather conditions.., that's sailing!

Overview

Corfu – Albania – Croatia / Trogir

The three ships of Sailing-Classics; Chronos, Kairós and Rhea are all classified under the CCV-Code (Commercial Cruising Vessel) and sail under Dutch flag. They have a 2-mast-ketch rigging as well as an optimized keel and hull to further improve their sailing performances.

The Chronos has a hull length of 48m (overall length 54m) and a width of 9.70m. A total sail area of est. 990m². On deck there is an aft helm stand and an outside seating area as well as a saloon with bar. The entrances to the cabins are in a second decks house, where also the ship’s office and an interior helm stand are located.

The Kairós has an overall length of 38m. and a width of 8.2m. A total sail area of est. 556m². She has a large teak deck with plenty of space for sunbathing and relaxing. Up to 20 guests may take breakfast, lunch or dinner under the sun roof next to the deckhouse with steering stand and bar. Below deck there is a large saloon with plenty of space for meals and meetings.

The Rhea has a hull length of 48m (overall length 54m) and a width of 9.70m. A total sail area of est. 990m².
